The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has initiated the registration process for NEET PG 2025 counselling, marking a significant first step in the admission process for MD, MS, and DNB programmes under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ). While candidates can now officially register on the MCC portal, mcc.nic.in, the detailed round-wise counselling schedule is yet to be announced. This delay is attributed to a pending Supreme Court hearing on transparency issues concerning the NEET PG exam. In the interim, state-level counselling preparations are already underway in several regions. With over 49,000 seats approved nationally, including newly added slots, aspirants are advised to keep their documents ready for swift registration once the official schedule is released.

Candidates eligible for the NEET PG counselling process can register online by following these instructions:

NEET PG Seat Matrix and State Preparations
As per the latest updates, Gujarat has released its NEET PG seat matrix, confirming 49,907 approved seats, which include 2,337 newly added positions. Other states, including Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, have independently started making preparations for their state-quota counselling. However, they are awaiting final confirmation from the MCC.
PwBD and NRI Candidate Guidelines
The MCC has established 33 dedicated centers across India to facilitate the issuance of disability certificates for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). This measure ensures that these candidates can claim their entitled 5% reservation in PG courses. Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates will be allocated seats based on a priority system, in accordance with the guidelines detailed in the NEET PG 2025 information bulletin.
