Great news for aspiring academics and educators in Madhya Pradesh! The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has officially announced the notification for the State Eligibility Test (SET) 2025. This is your chance to apply for this crucial eligibility test that can open doors to assistant professorships in the state’s universities and colleges.
Eligible and interested candidates can mark their calendars, as the application window opens on October 25, 2025. The application process will continue until November 20, 2025. Make sure to get your applications in on time!
For those who might need to make corrections to their application forms, a dedicated window will be open from October 30 to November 22, 2025. The SET 2025 examination is scheduled to take place on January 11, 2026.
Exam Fee Details:
- Candidates from Madhya Pradesh belonging to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD categories will pay ₹250, plus a ₹40 portal fee.
- All other candidates will need to pay ₹500, plus a ₹40 portal fee.
- A fee of ₹50 will be charged for each correction made to the application form.
- Late applications, submitted between November 21 to November 28, 2025, will incur a late fee of ₹3,000 plus the ₹40 portal fee.
- Applications submitted from November 29, 2025, up to 10 days before the exam date, will require a late fee of ₹25,000 plus the ₹40 portal fee.
Eligibility Criteria:
- You must have completed your post-graduation from a recognized Indian university or institution.
- Candidates currently in their final year of post-graduation are also eligible to apply provisionally.
- Unreserved/General and Other Backward Class (creamy layer) candidates require a minimum of 55% marks in their postgraduate degree.
- Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD) need a minimum of 50% marks.
- Ph.D. degree holders whose postgraduation examination was completed by September 19, 1991, are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks (i.e., 55% to 60%).
- Foreign university degree holders must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
