Motorola recently dropped a teaser, hinting at the imminent arrival of a new smartphone in India. The short clip, shared across its social media channels, prominently displays the phone’s elegant rear design, strongly suggesting a debut is just around the corner. While Motorola hasn’t officially confirmed the name, tech enthusiasts are buzzing that this device will be the Moto X70 Air, a model already making waves in China. This new phone boasts an impressively slim profile, reminiscent of premium devices like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and the iPhone Air. Powering the Moto X70 Air is the advanced Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, complemented by a substantial 4,800mAh battery that supports both rapid 68W wired and convenient 15W wireless charging.

Motorola India’s Exciting New Smartphone Teaser

Motorola India created a stir with a post on X, formally announcing the upcoming launch of a new smartphone in the country. The teaser video offered a sneak peek at the phone’s distinctive rear camera arrangement, showcasing four circular cutouts that gracefully integrate the camera sensors and an LED flash. The accompanying caption sparked further excitement, proclaiming a “battery that beats the clock, coming soon.”

A social media post from Motorola India included a video showing the phone’s rear camera setup with four circular cutouts and the caption: “Battery that beats the clock. Coming Soon. Go further. Do more. Never miss out on what’s next. 🔥 #Motorola #ComingSoon”

While the social media post refrained from revealing the smartphone’s precise name or official launch date, anticipation is high that the Moto X70 Air, currently available in China, will soon make its way to Indian shelves. This device is also slated for a global release on November 5, where it will be known as the Motorola Edge 70, with several significant specifications already confirmed by the brand.

It’s possible that the color options and pricing for the Motorola Edge 70 might vary from its Chinese counterpart, the Moto X70 Air. However, experts expect the internal hardware and overall design to remain largely consistent. Its remarkably lightweight and thin design positions it as a strong contender against devices like the iPhone Air and the Galaxy S25 Edge.

Moto X70 Air: Expected Pricing and Key Specifications

In China, the Moto X70 Air is available in two configurations: the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage model is priced at CNY 2,399 (approximately Rs. 30,000), and the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 33,500). It’s anticipated that the Indian version of the smartphone will carry a similar price tag.

Operating on the latest Android 16, the Moto X70 Air features a stunning 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED display, offering a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Underneath its hood, the device is powered by a robust Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with an impressive up to 12GB of RAM and expansive storage options reaching up to 512GB.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Moto X70 Air’s dual-camera system on the back, comprising a high-resolution 50-megapixel primary camera and an equally capable 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. For crisp selfies and clear video calls, the front boasts a 50-megapixel camera. Furthermore, the phone is built to withstand the elements, featuring an IP68 and IP69 rating for superior dust and water resistance.

A resilient 4,800mAh battery fuels the Moto X70 Air, ensuring ample power throughout the day. It also supports rapid 68W wired charging and convenient 15W wireless charging. Physically, the device is quite compact, measuring 159.87 x 74.28 x 5.99mm and tipping the scales at a mere 159 grams.
