This highly anticipated successor to the Motorola Edge 60 is expected to boast a robust 12GB of RAM and a generous 512GB of internal storage. It’s widely believed that the Motorola Edge 70 5G will be introduced as a global variant of the upcoming Moto X70 Air, which is scheduled to debut in China very soon.
Motorola Edge 70 5G: Expected Price & Color Palette
Tech insider Paras Guglani, known on X (formerly Twitter) as @passionategeekz, recently unveiled the rumored price and a vibrant selection of colors for the unannounced Motorola Edge 70 5G. According to Guglani, the device is expected to be priced around EUR 690, which converts to approximately Rs. 70,000. Consumers can look forward to choosing from three distinct Pantone shades: Bronze Green, Gadget Gray, and Lily Pad.
Guglani’s leaks further indicate that the Motorola Edge 70 5G will initially offer a configuration featuring 12GB of RAM paired with 512GB of storage. However, there’s an expectation that Motorola might release additional variants upon the phone’s official launch. As of now, Motorola has remained tight-lipped, offering no official confirmation regarding the device, its full specifications, or an exact launch timeline.
These fresh revelations follow earlier leaks of alleged renders for the Motorola Edge 70 5G. These renders showcased a sleek flat display complemented by a subtly raised camera module housing three sensors. The display also appeared to feature a discreet hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera. Interestingly, the renders highlighted color accents on the camera sensor rings and a dedicated ‘Moto AI’ button, suggesting an emphasis on artificial intelligence functionalities.
The Motorola Edge 70 is widely anticipated to be the international version of the Moto X70 Air. Enthusiasts might recall that the Moto X70 Air is poised for a release in the Chinese market later this month, rumored to feature a thin profile and advanced AI capabilities. Powering this device is expected to be a high-performance Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
The Motorola Edge 70 is set to bring notable upgrades over its predecessor, the Motorola Edge 60. The Edge 60 made its debut in India in June of this year, priced at Rs. 25,999 for its sole 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. It featured a 6.67-inch display with a 1.5K resolution, ran on a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, and included a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup, all powered by a substantial 5,500mAh battery.
