Meta has officially unveiled its innovative Ray-Ban Display smart glasses at the recent Meta Connect event. These cutting-edge glasses, equipped with an augmented reality (AR) screen, are designed as the successor to the popular Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, which were introduced in 2023 and made their way to India in May 2025.
Building on the foundation of their predecessors, the new Ray-Ban Display smart glasses retain key features such as an ultra-wide camera strategically placed on the left side of the frame, high-quality microphones, and specially designed open-ear speakers. The most significant upgrade, however, is the integration of a heads-up display (HUD) positioned at the bottom of the right lens, offering users a seamless AR experience.
Further enhancing user interaction, the device is paired with the groundbreaking Meta Neural Band. This advanced sEMG wristband allows wearers to control various functions of the smart glasses through intuitive, subtle gestures, ushering in a new era of hands-free digital engagement.
Pricing and Market Rollout for Meta Ray-Ban Display
The Meta Ray-Ban Display is priced at an accessible $799 (approximately Rs. 70,100), a package that conveniently includes both the smart glasses and the innovative Meta Neural Band. Consumers will have the choice of two classic finishes: Black and Sand.
These highly anticipated AR glasses are scheduled to hit the shelves on September 30. Initially, they will be available through select offline retailers across the US, including major outlets like Best Buy, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, and dedicated Ray-Ban Stores. Meta has also confirmed plans for international expansion next year, with releases slated for Canada, France, Italy, and the UK.
Regrettably, there are currently no plans for an India launch.
This is a developing story, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
