In Battlefield 6, every class begins with a default Training Path already unlocked and equipped. These paths are essential, offering unique passive bonuses that complement your Class Active Ability, directly impacting your playstyle and overall performance in matches. While the initial Training Paths are well-balanced, the game also allows you to unlock an additional, often more powerful, Training Path for each class.
Navigating Battlefield 6’s menus can sometimes be a bit tricky, especially when trying to find out how to acquire these new Training Paths. Don’t worry, we’re here to guide you through the process step-by-step!
Unlocking New Class Training Paths in Battlefield 6
To see all available Training Paths, including the locked ones, simply head to the Loadouts menu. There, you’ll find a triangle icon located to the left of your primary and secondary weapon slots; this represents your current Training Path. Click on it to open the “Select Training Path” menu.

Within this menu, you’ll find your current default Training Path and its bonuses, alongside the locked options. Hovering over a locked Training Path icon will reveal the challenges required to unlock it. To unlock any class’s Training Path in Battlefield 6, you must complete both of its assigned challenges. These usually involve earning a specific amount of score and effectively utilizing class-specific gadgets and items.
Some of these challenges can be quite demanding. For instance, getting kills with the Adrenaline Injector as Assault or achieving 50 headshots from over 150 meters as Recon can take a significant amount of time and effort.
For faster progress, consider using Portal Mode in Battlefield 6. Head to the Community game mode section and look for servers that have “official rules enabled.” This ensures that your XP and challenge progress are counted. In these matches, you’ll often encounter numerous bots, making it much easier to complete challenges without the pressure of tougher human opponents.
Always remember to track your active challenges in Battlefield 6. This allows you to monitor your progress directly from the Challenges tab while in a match. To track a challenge, simply hover over it and press A (Xbox), X (PlayStation), or your assigned keybind on PC (look for the “track” button in the bottom-right corner of the challenges screen).
Once a new Training Path is unlocked, you’ll need to manually equip it in your class loadout. After equipping, its passive effects will be active every time you enter a match with that specific class in Battlefield 6.
