Embarking on an adventure in Hollow Knight: Silksong means exploring the vast and intricate world of Pharloom. Just like its predecessor, this metroidvania game is sprawling and full of secrets. You’ll soon realize that traversing such a massive map can be quite the undertaking, especially when you’re on a quest to reach The Great Citadel.
Fear not, brave adventurer! That’s where Bellways come in. While you’ll need to progress a bit before unlocking this convenient travel system, mastering it will save you countless hours of backtracking. To help you navigate Pharloom efficiently, we’ve put together a guide on how to unlock fast travel and where to discover all the Bellway stations.
How to Unlock Fast Travel in Silksong
To begin using fast travel in Silksong, your first major task is to conquer the formidable Bell Beast. Once this boss is defeated, the initial Bellway station will become active, and the Bell Beast itself will serve as your adorable new mode of transportation. However, to actually *use* fast travel, you’ll need to locate and activate at least one more Bellway station.
If you’re struggling to find or defeat the Bell Beast boss, rest assured there are plenty of resources available to guide you. After that initial hurdle, the real challenge lies in discovering and activating all the subsequent Bellway stations scattered across Pharloom. We’ll dive into their locations shortly!
How to Utilize Fast Travel
Activating each Bellway station comes at a cost: 50 Rosaries. So, before you embark on your journey to find them, ensure you have a healthy supply! Rosaries are a precious currency in Pharloom, as they are lost upon Hornet’s death. However, they can be recovered from a cocoon left at your demise. If your pockets are running a bit thin, don’t worry – there are effective ways to farm rosaries to keep your travels smooth.
For the ultimate convenience, you can also purchase special Bellway Pins from Shakra. These handy items will mark all discovered and activated Bellway stations directly onto your in-game map, making navigation much simpler.
All Silksong Bellway Locations
Throughout Pharloom, you’ll recognize Bellway fast travel stations by distinctive signs adorned with three arrows. One arrow typically guides you towards the station, while another confirms you’re on the correct path. Keep an eye out for these markers!
You’ll discover a Bellway in each of these key regions:
- Moss Grotto
- The Marrow
- Deep Docks
- Far Fields
- Greymoor
- Bellhart
- Shellwood
- Blasted Steps
- Choral Chambers
- The Slab
- Putrified Ducts
- Bilewater
Mosslands
The Bellway in Mosslands can be found within the Bone Bottom pilgrim outpost, nestled between the Little Pilgrim and Pebb’s shop.
The Marrow
You’ll encounter The Marrow Bellway first, as it’s the lair of the Bell Beast and the site of your initial confrontation. If you haven’t yet discovered it, exit Mosslands via the northernmost, middle-horizontal path.
Deep Docks
The Deep Docks Bellway is situated in the bottom left corner of this zone. To reach it, descend through the main vertical platform area, carefully avoiding or defeating any flying bell miner enemies. Once at the bottom left of the descent, proceed into the tunnel to find the Bellway.
Far Fields
To locate the Far Fields Bellway, travel along the uppermost platforms of the main area. You might encounter two red ant warriors here; feel free to dash past them if you prefer not to engage.
Greymoor
The Greymoor Bellway lies beneath the Halfway Home. After passing through the Halfway Home, take the first downward path available, then turn right and follow the guiding arrows.
Bellhart
The Bellhart Bellway is conveniently located at the main merchant rest point, positioned roughly halfway between the entrances to Shellwood and Greymoor.
Shellwood
In Shellwood, the Bellway can be found towards the western side of the area, very near the entrance to the Blasted Steps. A helpful rest area is also located close by.
Blasted Steps
The Blasted Steps Bellway is located at the absolute pinnacle of this region. Unless you’re approaching from the north (which is unlikely on your first visit), prepare for a climb to activate this fast travel station.
Choral Chambers
To reach the Bellway in Choral Chambers, make your way to the far southeast of the area, often referred to as the Grand Bellway.
The Slab
You’ll find The Slab Bellway in the southwest portion of this zone. Activating this fast travel point is crucial for exiting the area. If you’re struggling to navigate without a map, remember that finding and activating this station is key to your escape.
Putrified Ducts
The Bell Beast’s station in the Putrified Ducts is located in the northeast, accessible from the upper right side of the main vertical section. Alternatively, you can find another passage leading to this Bellway area through the secret tunnels that crisscross the rest of the region.
Beyond fast travel, remember that conquering other bosses in this single-player game will open up new areas and often reward you with valuable Needle upgrades, significantly enhancing both your combat prowess and traversal capabilities.
