The romantic drama ‘Dude’, directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, is set to hit theaters on October 17th. Ahead of its release, the film’s team gathered for a pre-release event in Hyderabad. It was there that actor Pradeep Ranganathan shared a funny anecdote involving his co-star Mamitha Baiju.
Pradeep Ranganathan Recounts Mamitha Baiju’s Energetic Kick
Taking the stage, Pradeep hilariously recalled an incident during a photoshoot for ‘Dude’. He explained that Mamitha Baiju had so much ‘energy’ that she began kicking him playfully. “During a photo shoot for the film, she had a lot of energy. She didn’t know where to put it. She was kicking me when we were taking pictures,” Pradeep said, playfully reenacting a scene. Mamitha, who was present at the event, was seen laughing heartily at his recollection.
A Broken Phone and a Lighthearted Demand
The actor then revealed the unexpected consequence of Mamitha’s energetic display: “She kicked me in such a way that the phone in my pocket flew out and landed on another terrace. It broke.” Pradeep humorously showed his phone to the cameraman, prompting a confused look from Mamitha. He then quipped, “You only did, if it was your phone, you’d remember. It’s my phone, no? You’ll not remember. I don’t buy too many phones, I have been using (iPhone) 12 Pro Max. Making me buy another phone, you give me money, I’ll buy.”
