Good news for fans: it appears Smilegate’s highly popular MMORPG isn’t slowing down anytime soon. An Amazon spokesperson confirmed that the publishing division will continue to provide regular updates and foster community engagement for both Lost Ark and Throne and Liberty, with new content firmly on the horizon. While Lost Ark’s demanding endgame and multiplayer focus can be a challenge for new players, its engaging gameplay firmly establishes it as one of the best free-to-play titles available on PC.
Following the recent, ambitious US region merge, Smilegate confirms that the new network setup is performing robustly. They are thrilled to announce that this structure will remain in place, eliminating the need for any previously discussed backup plans. A minor adjustment, set to arrive with the major update on Wednesday, November 19, will affect how game instances are created.
For party groups, the game instance will now be created in the lobby leader’s region. When using matchmaking, mixed regional groups will default to NA East servers. However, if an entire matchmaking team is based in NA West, an NA West instance will be used. Developers suggest that NA West players experiencing connection or ping difficulties consider utilizing the party finder for a potentially smoother experience.
The next major challenge for players will be the Kazeros Raid: Act 4 and the climactic Kazeros Raid Denouement: Final Day, both slated for the November update. A highly anticipated first-clear race will commence two weeks later, on Wednesday, December 3, with comprehensive details to be revealed shortly. Looking past these immediate events, the development team is already looking ahead to the long-term future of Arkesia.
A recent statement from the Lost Ark team confirms their focus on Arkesia’s future, noting, “After locking in everything for Kazeros, we’ll be turning our eye toward the future of Arkesia, and preparing the roadmap for 2026 featuring Matt, Henry, and Roxx, which we plan to share in December. We’re working to finalize the content plan for the end of this year, along with the next chapter for adventurers. We’re extremely excited for the upcoming journey and for players to learn about what’s next. In the meantime, we wish you luck as you prepare for the war against Kazeros, starting with the Prelude available in the October update, followed by Act 4 and the Final Day raid against Kazeros himself- both arriving next month.”
