The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) will be holding its Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) Prelims Exam 2025 today, October 3, 2025. This important exam is for both Generalist and Specialist positions.
The preliminary exam is an online objective test featuring three sections: Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. The English section will particularly focus on grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. A total of 100 questions will be asked, carrying a maximum of 70 marks, with the exam duration set at 1 hour.
Specifically, the Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude sections will each have 35 questions worth 35 marks. The English Language section will contain 30 questions worth 30 marks. It’s important to note that the English Language test is qualifying in nature, meaning its marks will not contribute to the final ranking.

Candidates appearing for the exam should adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Ensure you bring a valid admit card for your specific exam date and session, with your photograph securely affixed.
2. Carry a photocopy of a valid photo identity proof.
3. Report to the examination venue at the time specified on your admit card. Latecomers will not be permitted to enter.
4. Please refrain from bringing prohibited items, including mobile phones, smartwatches, pagers, or any electronic devices, into the examination hall. While arrangements for safekeeping may be available, it is best to avoid bringing these items to the venue.
