Mark your calendars! The LIC preliminary exam is scheduled for October 3, 2025. This initial stage will be an online objective test divided into three sections, each with its own time limit. You’ll need to answer a total of 100 questions, with the maximum score being 70. The Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude sections will each have 35 questions worth 35 marks. The English Language section, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension, will have 30 questions carrying 30 marks. It’s important to note that the English Language section is qualifying in nature, and its marks will not be counted towards your final ranking.
The entire exam is designed to be completed within one hour. A key detail for all candidates is that there are no negative marks for incorrect answers. However, you must qualify in each section individually to proceed.
This recruitment drive aims to fill a significant number of vacancies, with LIC planning to recruit 760 Assistant Administrative Officers. This includes 410 positions for AAO Specialists and 350 for AAO-Generalists.
