Actress Keerthy Suresh recently shared intimate details about her relationship with Antony Thattil on Jagapathi Babu’s talk show, Jayammu Nischayammu Raa. The couple, who dated for 15 years before tying the knot in 2024, faced a significant hurdle: religious differences.
Keerthy admitted that she was initially worried about her family’s reaction. “At home, we assumed we might have issues due to religious differences,” she explained. However, her father’s acceptance eased her fears. “I spoke to dad one day four years ago, but he made it smooth. It was nothing like I had imagined,” Keerthy recounted, fondly remembering how her father welcomed Antony by offering him a drink to celebrate.
The couple’s 15-year journey to marriage involved a long-distance relationship for several years, with Antony living in Qatar while Keerthy was in Chennai. They waited until their careers were stable and they were both ready before deciding to marry.
In a heartwarming gesture, Antony gifted Keerthy a puppy after the success of her film Mahanati. To honor their relationship, Keerthy named the dog “Nyke,” a blend of “Ny” from Antony’s name and “Ke” from her own. This unique naming convention served as a public acknowledgment of their love, even before they could openly discuss their relationship.
Keerthy Suresh, daughter of producer G Suresh Kumar and actress Menaka, married businessman Antony Thattil in Goa on December 12, 2024, in both Hindu and Christian ceremonies. She was last seen in the Prime Video film Uppu Kappurambu and is set to appear in upcoming projects like Revolver Rita and Kannivedi.
