Joe Jonas, the beloved singer and one-third of the Grammy-nominated Jonas Brothers, is setting the record straight about recent rumors concerning his alleged drug use. The speculation intensified after a fan video surfaced showing him touching his nose during a Jonas Brothers concert.
In a candid interview with Esquire, the hitmaker behind “Only Human” and “Cake by the Ocean” firmly denied any involvement with cocaine, stating, “I’ve never touched cocaine in my life. But if I did, I think I’d be a little slicker about it than doing it onstage.” The rumors gained traction when concert footage from the group’s JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour captured Jonas briefly stepping aside mid-performance to check his nose in a mirror. His initial lighthearted response on social media, joking “lol you never had a booger?”, did little to quell the online chatter.
Beyond addressing the drug rumors, Jonas also shared insights into his personal life following his 2024 divorce from actress Sophie Turner. The couple, who were married for five years, share two daughters, Willa (5) and Delphine (3). Jonas recently made an emotional trip to London to accompany his daughters on their first days of school, a milestone he described as both grounding and deeply moving.
Discussing the challenges of life on the road, Jonas admitted that his demanding touring schedule with brothers Kevin (37) and Nick (33) makes dating difficult. “Five shows in a row doesn’t make it easy to meet someone for coffee,” he remarked, adding that social media has occasionally provided a way to connect with new people.
When asked about his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift’s latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” Jonas offered a diplomatic response. “I’ve heard some of it. I think she’s obviously the biggest artist out there, and I think it’s good. Everybody’s got an opinion about it, but from what I’ve heard, there are some catchy melodies,” he shared.
