Horror enthusiasts, rejoice! You can soon experience the gruesome long-running Saw series like never before, with Jigsaw’s diabolical traps rendered in stunning 4K resolution. The second, third, and fourth Saw films are making their 4K Blu-ray debut on October 21st, arriving in Amazon-exclusive Steelbook Editions. These coveted sets, which quickly sold out in August, are now thankfully back in stock at $35 each. For those looking to complete their collection, the original Saw movie is also available on 4K Blu-ray for $14.79.
Exclusive to Amazon:
- Saw II Steelbook Edition (4K) — $35
- Saw III Steelbook Edition (4K) — $35
- Saw IV Steelbook Edition (4K) — $35
Each Limited Edition Steelbook boasts a unique clear O-ring sleeve. Instead of merely duplicating the inner cover art, these O-rings feature clever graphics that dynamically transform the character showcased on the front, giving collectors two distinct display options for every film.

Each of these three Saw films includes a 4K Blu-ray disc, a standard Blu-ray, and digital access with Movies Anywhere compatibility. The 4K discs deliver stunning visuals with Dolby Vision and HDR10 support, while the unsettling noises, grinding gears, and terrified screams will envelop you in immersive Dolby Atmos surround sound. Furthermore, these Steelbook Editions are packed with new bonus features, complementing the extensive legacy content. Prepare to be impressed by their fantastic packaging designs!
Saw 2 Limited Edition Steelbook (4K Blu-ray)
$35 | Releases October 21
Saw 2’s sleeve and steelbook art revolves around John Kramer. With the sleeve on the case, Kramer is wearing an oxygen mask with a hood over his head. When you start to remove the sleeve, his hood and oxygen mask begin to pull away to reveal falling jigsaw puzzle pieces. The back of the steelbook case shows a pair of syringes. Anyone who has watched Saw 2 can guess why the syringes are on the back. There are a lot more of them on the interior art. Director Darren Lynn Bousman reflects on the second film in the series in two exclusive featurettes. John Kramer actor Tobin Bell also gives his thoughts on the franchise’s first sequel. In addition to those new special features, there are three legacy audio commentaries, and several other behind-the-scenes featurettes.

Saw III Limited Edition Steelbook (4K Blu-ray)
$35 | Releases October 21
Saw 3’s sleeve art showcases the creepy pig mask worn by a certain character in the early movies. When you remove the slipcase, the person beneath the mask is revealed, so you probably don’t want to show the case art to a friend who hasn’t watched it yet. The back of the steelbook case shows Jigsaw in a doorway, ready to ride his tricycle down the ramp and play a game.
Actor Tobin Bell and director Darren Lynn Bousman provide their thoughts on the third film in separate featurettes. If you like listening to the cast and crew of your favorite films talk about each scene, you’ll appreciate that the third film has a trio of legacy audio commentaries from previous Blu-ray and DVD releases. You can also take a closer look at the production with behind-the-scenes features about the traps and props as well as the writing.

Saw IV Limited Edition Steelbook (4K Blu-ray)
$35 | Releases October 21
Saw 4’s Limited Edition Steelbook might have the best cover of the three. A giant Billy the Puppet mask is illustrated on the front and back of the steelbook. Billy’s eyes can change colors thanks to the illustrated mechanisms on the O-ring sleeve. The interior art shows the cluttered workbench where Jigsaw tinkers with his contraptions and records tapes.
Special features include a pair of legacy audio commentaries, behind-the-scenes clips discussing the props and traps, and two new featurettes. Director Darren Lynn Bousman reflects on the film, and John Kramer actor Tobin Bell is interviewed.

Explore the Saw Movie Series in 4K
Six terrifying films from the series are now available in stunning 4K Blu-ray.
While a new Steelbook for the original Saw film would have been fantastic, its absence is understandable. The unrated edition of the 2004 horror classic was released on 4K Blu-ray in 2021 and can still be purchased for $14.79.
Beyond these, the only other films in the franchise currently available in 4K Blu-ray are the latest installments: Jigsaw (Saw VIII), Spiral (Saw IX), and Saw X. Interestingly, Saw X, the tenth film, is chronologically set between Saw and Saw II, making it a perfect rewatch while you await your preorders. Spiral, a Chris Rock-led spin-off, can be enjoyed independently, though its reception has been mixed. Similarly, 2017’s Jigsaw is largely self-contained, occurring a decade after the original seven films. However, a deeper appreciation for Jigsaw is gained by viewing the initial series first.

- Saw IV Steelbook Edition (4K) — $35 | October 21

Saw Series: Blu-ray Box Sets and Individual Releases

Blu-ray and DVD Box Sets:
- Saw: 10-Film Collection (Blu-ray + DVD) — $55.43
- Saw: 8-Film Collection (Blu-ray + DVD) — $18
- Saw: 8-Film Collection (DVD) — $11.39
- Saw: 7-Film Collection (Blu-ray) — $18
- Saw: 7-Film Collection (DVD) — $8.86
Should you acquire the newly available preorders along with the existing four Saw movies on 4K Blu-ray, you’ll find just three gaps remaining in your collection. While waiting for potential 4K restorations of Saw V, VI, and The Final Chapter seems plausible given the recent releases, you don’t have to. Consider the standalone Blu-ray editions or the comprehensive 10-Film Collection. Saw V, Saw VI, and The Final Chapter are all priced at $15 or less on 1080p Blu-ray, and the Saw 10-Film Collection is currently $50.
For a more budget-friendly approach, the Saw 7-Film Collection offers these three movies for just $20. However, be aware that if you’re used to 4K quality, the video might be a slight downgrade. This collection packs seven films onto only three Blu-ray discs, meaning some compression. Additionally, you’ll miss out on some bonus features and certain menu options.
Currently, the Saw 8-Film Collection, typically $25, is on sale for $18. This nine-disc set includes four Blu-rays and five DVDs. Jigsaw receives its own dedicated Blu-ray and DVD, complete with bonus features on an additional disc. The remaining three Blu-ray discs, however, are similar to those in the 7-Film Collection.
Saw 10-Film Collection: 20th Anniversary Edition (Blu-ray)
$55.43
Despite any minor imperfections, the Saw 10-Film Collection stands out as the premier choice among box sets, and not solely for encompassing all ten films. Launched last spring to commemorate the franchise’s 20th anniversary, this collection boasts an impressive 23 discs. Unlike earlier Blu-ray box sets, each movie is individually pressed onto its own 1080p Blu-ray disc and accompanying DVD. This eliminates concerns about over-compressed video files and grants access to all special features found on the standalone releases. The first three Saw movies even include additional special feature DVDs, accounting for the 23-disc total (rather than 20). Inside, you’ll also discover four collectible art cards. The entire set is housed in an oversized plastic case and presented in a cardboard box adorned with one of Jigsaw’s iconic, ruthless contraptions.

For casual viewers who prioritize watching all the movies over extensive special features or the finer distinctions between 4K and 1080p, the 7-Film and 8-Film Collections are excellent choices. The 7-Film Collection, priced at under $3 per film, offers incredible value as a basic set. If your interest lies primarily in Saw’s core storyline, the $20 collection includes the unrated editions of the main arc, spanning from the franchise’s 2004 debut up to 2010’s Saw 3D (The Final Chapter).
Even if you consider the Saw series to be a seven-movie saga concluding in 2010, the $25 8-Film Collection could still appeal to you for the added benefit of including DVD versions of each film.
The Entire Saw Saga on 1080p Blu-ray
As previously noted, every one of the 10 Saw films is also available as an individual 1080p Blu-ray. The unrated editions of the seven primary films are typically $15 each, featuring cohesive case artwork that highlights a different one of Jigsaw’s iconic games from each movie. While bonus content varies per film, the series generally includes engaging audio commentaries, making-of featurettes, retrospectives, short films, and other intriguing behind-the-scenes material. The more recent trio of Saw movies can also be found on standard Blu-ray at affordable prices, though their case designs unfortunately don’t match the original aesthetic.
- Saw (1080p Blu-ray) — $10.81
- Saw II (1080p Blu-ray) — $15
- Saw III (1080p Blu-ray) — $11.67

- Saw V (1080p Blu-ray) — $14.49
- Saw VI (1080p Blu-ray) — $8
