On Thursday, explosions reverberated across Sanaa, Yemen’s rebel-held capital, as Houthi media claimed Israel had launched a series of air strikes. An AFP correspondent on the ground also confirmed hearing the loud blasts.
The rebels’ Al-Masirah television channel specifically stated, “Israeli aggression targets the capital Sanaa,” emphasizing the nature of the attacks.
Remarkably, these strikes occurred precisely as the station was preparing to broadcast the weekly televised speech of Houthi leader, Abdulmalik al-Huthi, adding a layer of tension to the already volatile situation.
