The Battlefield series has a well-known history of significant server issues right at launch. However, fans eagerly awaiting Battlefield 6 can breathe a sigh of relief, as lead producer David Sirland has indicated that the servers “should be” ready for the new game’s debut.
Sirland mentioned on social media that the massively popular Battlefield 6 open beta was instrumental in gauging overall player interest in the game.

The open beta for Battlefield 6 saw incredible engagement, attracting over 20 million players and reaching a peak of more than 500,000 concurrent players on Steam. The beta’s popularity even led Battlefield Studios to implement server queues. This leaves many wondering if similar queues will be necessary for the full release.
The troubled launch of 2021’s Battlefield 2042, along with earlier installments in the military FPS franchise, has understandably made fans cautious about how Battlefield 6’s launch will fare.
Despite these past concerns, Battlefield 6 is launching amidst immense pre-release excitement, largely fueled by the positive feedback from the August open beta. Season 1 of the game is scheduled to begin on October 28th, which is also the rumored launch date for its battle royale mode.
The game is also generating buzz with numerous explosive screenshots showcasing its intense action and detailed environments, promising a visually rich experience for players.
