It’s incredible how quickly a song can blow up on TikTok these days. This platform, which didn’t even exist when Grand Theft Auto V launched over a decade ago, seems to be a major influence on Grand Theft Auto VI, judging by its initial trailer. We can expect to hear many TikTok-famous tunes on its radio stations. Although artists involved in Grand Theft Auto VI’s soundtrack are usually sworn to secrecy with strict non-disclosure agreements, one rapper has seemingly let slip that his hugely popular TikTok track, the ‘6-7 meme’ song, will be part of the highly anticipated open-world game.
The Grand Theft Auto VI soundtrack is set to be incredibly diverse, offering something for everyone – from country and EDM to rock and pop. But it appears even fans of quirky, viral sensations will be satisfied. The ‘6-7 meme’ originates from the rap track ‘Doot Doot (6 7),’ and now its artist, Philadelphia-based rapper Skrilla, states his song will be featured in Rockstar’s much-anticipated title.
During a recent appearance on Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast, hosted by comedians Shane Gillis and Matt McCusker, Skrilla shared his enthusiasm for Grand Theft Auto, noting how he enjoys playing with a ‘big group’ using a character resembling himself, likely in Grand Theft Auto Online. The rapper expressed his excitement for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI release and then revealed that his viral hit would be part of the game.

Skrilla confidently stated, ‘They’re going to have 6 7 on there too. Definitely going to be me and my own person [Grand Theft Auto character] on there, playing my own music.’ For those unfamiliar with ‘Doot Doot (6 7),’ its signature line, ‘6-7, I just bipped right on the highway,’ gained massive traction on TikTok, initially featuring in basketball highlight reels. While its unique flow and lyrics might be an acquired taste, even for hip-hop enthusiasts, some viral trends are simply too big to overlook.
This isn’t the first time an artist has hinted at Grand Theft Auto VI involvement. Last year, Florida’s own T-Pain, the renowned singer, rapper, and producer, suggested he was ‘working on Grand Theft Auto VI.’ His involvement seems to go beyond just contributing music; Rockstar reportedly prevented him from playing on his favorite Grand Theft Auto role-playing servers because of his direct participation. Regardless, it’s highly probable we’ll hear some of his tracks in the game.
Speculation also surrounds other Florida music legends like DJ Khaled and Pitbull, who might either contribute music or inspire satirical in-game characters reflecting their larger-than-life personalities. As always, Rockstar Games has yet to make any official announcements regarding Skrilla or any of these artists, so it’s best to take these claims with a grain of salt for now.

Rockstar has, however, introduced a few music-centric characters we’ll encounter in Vice City. Boobie Ike and Dre’Quan Priest seem to be the prominent figures behind the record label Only Raw Records, which recently signed the rap duo Real Dimez. While we eagerly await further official details, keep an eye out for more information on the game’s setting and characters.
