The iQOO 15, set to succeed the iQOO 13, is slated for its official unveiling in China on October 20. While initial availability is focused on the Chinese market, a recent sighting on a certification website suggests that this exciting new smartphone could soon reach other global regions. Further building anticipation, iQOO has offered a sneak peek at the ‘Legend Edition’ colorway, a sophisticated white finish.
iQOO 15 Receives Key Indonesian Certification
Details emerged from a post on X (previously Twitter) by @ZionsAnvin, confirming that an iQOO device, identified by model number I2501, was listed on Indonesia’s Telecom SDPPI website. This certification, bearing the number 1114907/DJID/2025, is a strong indicator of the phone’s impending launch in the Indonesian market.
Anvin on X (formerly Twitter) shared: “iQOO 15 (I2501) bags SDPPI certification in Indonesia. New Realme phones RMX5300 and RMX5253 have also been approved by the SDPPI.” (Original tweet by @ZionsAnvin, October 10, 2025)
While the certification listing didn’t disclose further specifications, prior information suggests that the I2501 model is indeed the international variant of the upcoming iQOO 15.
Separately, iQOO themselves offered a glimpse of the iQOO 15’s ‘Legend Edition’ colorway on Weibo. This striking variant showcases a pristine white finish complemented by a matte middle-frame and body. The company emphasizes a non-slip design engineered to resist fingerprints, ensuring a clean and comfortable grip.
The camera system is elegantly integrated into a unique suspended ‘deco’ design positioned in the top-left corner of the rear panel. Similar to iQOO’s existing flagship devices, a distinctive “Halo light” encircles the camera island, illuminating to add a touch of flair. Following the design language of the iQOO 13, it’s expected that the power and volume controls on the iQOO 15 will be conveniently located on the right side of the device.
Earlier teasers have hinted at a diverse range of four color options for the forthcoming handset. Consumers can anticipate choosing from classic black and green, a distinctive dual-pattern white and orange, and a standard white. The white and orange variant is particularly eye-catching, featuring subtle, cloud-like design motifs.
Regarding its technical prowess, the iQOO 15 is officially confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This formidable System-on-Chip boasts an impressive peak clock speed of 4.6GHz and an advanced 2+6-core architecture. To further enhance its gaming capabilities, this flagship processor will be paired with iQOO’s own specialized Q3 gaming chip, promising an unparalleled mobile gaming experience.
Durability is a key focus for the iQOO 15, as it will come with robust IP68 and IP69 ratings. This means the device will be fully dust-proof, capable of withstanding continuous submersion in water under defined conditions, and resistant to high-temperature, high-pressure water jets. Furthermore, a substantial battery exceeding 7,000mAh capacity has been teased, suggesting excellent endurance. Anticipate more comprehensive details to be unveiled as the official launch date for the iQOO 15 approaches.
