iQOO and its parent company, Vivo, are set to introduce their highly anticipated next-generation flagship smartphones in China this month. Recent reports suggest that both the iQOO 15 and Vivo X300 Pro have appeared on a certification website, signaling an upcoming launch in global markets. The iQOO 15 is confirmed to feature Qualcomm’s powerful new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, while the Vivo X300 Pro is expected to sport MediaTek’s equivalent.
iQOO 15, Vivo X300 Pro Could Launch in Malaysia Soon
A new iQOO smartphone, believed to be the iQOO 15, was recently sighted on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification website under the model number I2501. The application, filed on October 2 and approved the following day, strongly suggests that the iQOO 15 will be launched in Malaysia. While the listing didn’t reveal specific features, it confirms the device’s impending arrival in the region.
Similarly, a Vivo device, identified by the model number V2514, also appeared on the same certification platform on October 2. This device is reportedly the Vivo X300 Pro, slated to be part of the Vivo X300 series launching in China later this month.
The presence of both devices on the Malaysian certification site strongly indicates their eventual release in the Malaysian market. However, official announcements regarding the launch and availability of the iQOO 15 and Vivo X300 Pro in Malaysia are still pending, so it’s wise to remain cautiously optimistic.
Previously, a Vivo executive confirmed that the standard X300 model would support the USB 3.2 data transfer protocol. While it’s unclear if this will be the 5Gbps Gen 1 or the faster 10Gbps Gen 2, the device is expected to feature a modern USB Type-C port.
The Vivo X300 series is confirmed for a China launch on October 13. However, the official launch date for the iQOO 15 remains unconfirmed. Consumers can anticipate more specifics regarding both iQOO and Vivo handsets as their respective launch events draw nearer.
