The recent launch of the Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy set was a massive success, breaking records for the popular trading card game. With Commander being such a beloved format, it’s no surprise that all four decks from the collection quickly found their way into players’ hands.
However, an interesting pricing trend emerged: the Final Fantasy VI-themed “Revival Trance” deck was often available for less, while the highly coveted “Limit Break” deck, inspired by Final Fantasy VII, commanded a much higher price. The other two decks generally sat in the middle.
Now, Best Buy has stepped in to level the playing field, offering all four Commander decks at a unified, discounted price.

This is fantastic news for fans, especially for those hoping to snag the “Limit Break” deck. This fan-favorite, which frequently sells above its suggested retail price, is now available for just $48.99.
Known for its exciting gameplay focused on equipment and aggressive combat damage, “Limit Break” is an absolute must-have for anyone who patiently awaited a price drop.
While this uniform pricing benefits some, it means “Revival Trance” is also listed at $48.99. Although still below its original MSRP, this particular deck, with its less straightforward strategy and fewer high-value reprints, can sometimes be found for around $35 from other retailers if you’re diligent.
Completing the set are “Scions and Spellcraft,” the Final Fantasy XIV-inspired deck led by Y’Shtola, which offers a unique and fun blue/white/black experience focused on dealing incremental damage to opponents. This deck is also now $48.99.
And last but not least, “Counter Blitz,” widely considered one of the strongest decks in the collection, features Final Fantasy X characters Tidus and Yuna. It excels at leveraging counters for massive damage or extending the presence of powerful Summons, and yes, it’s also available for $48.99.
As an added bonus, each Commander deck includes a ‘Collector Booster Sample Pack’ containing two special cards with either foil or borderless finishes.
