In a candid moment of self-reflection, acclaimed actor Hrithik Roshan has shared his thoughts on the filming of his recent movie, War 2. While the film, which also featured Jr NTR, didn’t quite meet the high expectations at the box office, Roshan has offered a rare glimpse into his mindset during the production.
Taking to Instagram, Hrithik posted a series of pictures from the set, accompanied by a thoughtful message. He initially described his role as Kabir as “so much fun” and “so relaxed,” noting how well he felt he knew the character. This comfort led him to believe the process would be “easy,” a stark contrast to the intense preparation he often undertakes. He mentioned feeling at ease, like he could “keep it simple, play the actor, do your job and come home.” He also expressed gratitude for the supportive energy of director Ayan Mukerji, stating that everything felt “so perfect” and like a “sure shot.”
However, this sense of ease soon gave way to a deeper introspection. Hrithik revealed that a persistent inner voice began to question this feeling of effortless success: “This is too easy… I know this too well.” Another voice countered, suggesting that not every film needs to be a “torture and trauma” and that he could simply “relax.” This internal dialogue, he shared, highlights the complex relationship an actor can have with their craft, where comfort can sometimes overshadow the drive for growth.
Looking ahead, Hrithik Roshan is gearing up for his next project, Krrish 4, where he is also expected to take on directorial duties.
