Just a week after its previous update, Team Cherry has rolled out another beta patch for the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong. This latest update is smaller in scope, primarily addressing localization and control enhancements, which might not be what some players were hoping for in terms of game difficulty.
A notable addition in this patch is the implementation of rumble features for various controllers, aiming to provide a more immersive experience. The developers have also introduced a new Simplified Chinese translation script for public testing, with plans for further refinements based on community feedback. This move comes after the previous Chinese translation sparked significant backlash from players.
While many of the other fixes are minor quality-of-life adjustments, the previous update did include more substantial features, such as support for the DualSense Edge controller. Although Team Cherry has previously released a patch to temper Silksong’s difficulty, players still finding the game too challenging might explore community-made mods designed to make their journey a bit smoother.
The beta patch 1.0.28954 is now available for Steam players, though it requires an optional opt-in process. To access it, follow these simple steps:
- Right-click Hollow Knight: Silksong in your Steam library.
- Select ‘Properties’.
- Navigate to the ‘Betas’ tab.
- Choose the ‘current beta branch’ option.
- Download the new update.
Although Team Cherry has yet to release official sales figures, one analyst estimates that Silksong has already sold over 4.2 million copies across consoles and PC, solidifying its place among the top 20 most popular Steam games of all time.
