On Saturday, October 25, 2025, India and China successfully concluded their 23rd round of Corps Commander-level discussions. This significant meeting took place at the Chushul-Moldo border point, a key location for bilateral engagements.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) highlighted that this was the initial engagement under the General-level mechanism in the sensitive western sector, following the 24th round of Special Representatives’ talks held on August 19, 2025. Both delegations approached the discussions with a positive and amicable spirit.
Building on the progress achieved during the 22nd round of talks in October 2024, both nations recognized the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability in the border regions. This continuity in dialogue is a positive indicator for future relations, as noted by the Ministry.
A key outcome of the meeting was the mutual commitment to utilize established communication channels and mechanisms to effectively address ground-level issues and ensure lasting stability along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
