The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has officially started the application process for its HCS (Ex. Br.) and Allied Services recruitment for the year 2026. Selection Process:
The selection process is structured in three stages:
1. Preliminary Examination: This stage includes two papers – Paper I (General Studies) and Paper II (Civil Services Aptitude Test). Both papers consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions and are two hours long. Paper II is a qualifying paper with a minimum passing mark of 33%. A penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
2. Main Written Examination: Candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam will proceed to the main written examination.
3. Personality Test / Viva-Voce: The final stage involves a personality test or viva-voce to assess candidates’ suitability for the services.
Application Fee:
* Candidates from DSC, OSC, BC-A (Non-Creamy Layer), BC-B (Non-Creamy Layer), ESM, EWS, Haryana women candidates, and DESM Candidates of Haryana (vertical categories) need to pay ₹250.
* DESM Candidates of Haryana (UR Category) and all other remaining candidates are required to pay ₹1000.
