GoPro has just unveiled a powerful trio of new products: the revolutionary Max 2, its latest 360-degree action camera, the sleek Lit Hero compact camera, and the innovative Fluid Pro AI gimbal. While these exciting new devices are set to hit shelves in select markets soon, eager adventurers can pre-order the Max 2 and Lit Hero directly from GoPro’s official website. Exclusive bundles for the Max 2 will also be available on their site. Specific pricing and availability for the Indian market are yet to be announced.

Pricing and Availability: GoPro Max 2, Lit Hero, and Fluid Pro AI Gimbal

The GoPro Max 2 carries a price tag of $499.99 (approximately Rs. 44,000). Pre-orders are open on GoPro’s website, with shipments scheduled to begin on September 30. The Max 2 will also be available in physical stores from the same date. Exclusive, activity-specific bundles for the Max 2 will be offered solely through GoPro’s online store.

Meanwhile, the compact GoPro Lit Hero is priced at $269.99 (roughly Rs. 24,000) and is available for pre-order now, with sales commencing on October 21. The GoPro Fluid Pro AI gimbal is priced at $229.99 (around Rs. 20,000) and will also be available from October 21 via GoPro’s website and retail partners.

GoPro Max 2: Unrivaled 8K 360 Action

The GoPro Max 2 elevates 360-degree video capture with true 8K resolution and GP Log encoding, capable of recording over a billion colors. It boasts durable, water-repelling optical glass lenses that are also replaceable. Users can snap stunning 29-megapixel 360-degree photos, easily cropped and reframed using the intuitive GoPro Quik app. GoPro proudly claims it’s the world’s only 360 camera with built-in GPS.

Audio quality is paramount, with a six-microphone setup delivering ‘true-to-life’ 360-degree sound. The Max 2 features enhanced wireless Bluetooth connectivity, ‘Audio Field-of-View,’ and 360 studio audio support. Ambisonic audio support for the camera is also expected in a future update. Powering this powerhouse is a 1,960mAh Cold-Weather Enduro Battery, designed for extreme conditions.

Intelligent AI-powered software assists with 360-degree video editing, including AI Object Tracking for seamless MotionFrame edits. To further enhance the creative process, GoPro introduces 16 new accessories that feature Invisible Mounting, a clever design that removes the mount from 360-degree videos, creating a unique, drone-like visual experience.

GoPro Lit Hero and Fluid Pro AI Gimbal: Compact Power and Smart Stabilization

The GoPro Lit Hero emerges as a remarkably lightweight action camera, tipping the scales at just 93g. It’s engineered to capture crisp 4K videos at up to 60fps and supports 2x slow-motion recording. This rugged camera is waterproof up to 5 meters and incorporates a built-in light for diverse shooting conditions. An optional 4:3 aspect ratio shooting mode makes it perfect for optimizing videos for social media platforms.

Beyond video, the Lit Hero can capture impressive 12-megapixel photos in a 4:3 aspect ratio. It’s equipped with an Enduro Battery, providing up to 100 minutes of continuous 4K video recording on a single charge.

Complementing the cameras is the GoPro Fluid Pro AI gimbal, designed for smooth, stabilized footage. It features AI Subject Tracking for GoPro cameras, smartphones, and even point-and-shoot cameras, capable of supporting devices weighing up to 400g. This versatile 3-Axis Gimbal offers interchangeable mounts and includes an integrated Fill Light. It promises an impressive 18 hours of battery life and can even serve as an external power source for your connected devices.
