Last year, Google unveiled its powerful Gemini 3 series AI models, including Gemini 3 Pro and Gemini 3 Deep Think, which famously surpassed OpenAI’s GPT-5.1 in various benchmarks. Building on this success, the tech giant has now introduced Gemini 3.1 Pro, the latest addition to the Gemini 3 family. Google states that this new AI model is engineered to handle even more intricate tasks than its predecessor. Alongside this, Google Labs, known for its experimental AI projects, has rolled out an exciting new feature for Pomelli, their AI-driven marketing assistant.
Gemini 3.1 Pro: What’s New and How to Access It
Google officially announced the widespread rollout of its latest AI model, Gemini 3.1 Pro, on Thursday. This advanced model, a key part of the Gemini 3 series, is now becoming accessible to a broad audience, including developers, businesses, and individual users. Developers can get a sneak peek through the Gemini API within Google AI Studio, Gemini CLI, Android Studio, and Google Antigravity—the company’s platform for agentic development.
For enterprise clients, Gemini 3.1 Pro is being integrated into Vertex AI and existing Gemini Enterprise offerings. Casual users can find the new AI model within the Gemini app and NotebookLM. The tech giant also confirmed that those with Google AI Pro and Ultra plans will enjoy elevated usage limits with Gemini 3.1 Pro. Additionally, the enhanced Gemini 3.1 Pro features within NotebookLM are exclusively available to these premium subscribers.
In terms of raw power, Google asserts that Gemini 3.1 Pro is exceptionally skilled at tackling complex problem-solving challenges. It achieved an impressive “verified” score of 77.1 percent on the ARC-AGI-2 benchmark, a test specifically designed to assess an AI’s capacity for novel logical reasoning. To put this in perspective, Gemini 3 Pro scored 31.1 percent, OpenAI’s GPT-5.2 reached 52.9 percent, and Anthropic’s Opus 4.6 achieved 68.8 percent.
Furthermore, Gemini 3.1 Pro showcased superior academic reasoning on the “Humanity’s Last Exam” test, scoring 44.4 percent. This outshone Gemini 3 Pro’s 37.5 percent and OpenAI’s GPT 5.2’s 34.5 percent.
Google provided demonstrations highlighting Gemini 3.1 Pro’s remarkable ability to generate Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) animations. When compared to the Gemini 3 Pro (launched in November 2025) using identical prompts, the newer model produced animations with significantly richer detail and complexity.
Pomelli’s New Photoshoot Feature: Revolutionizing Marketing Visuals
In parallel to the Gemini 3.1 Pro release, Google Labs, the hub for Google’s innovative AI experiments, has unveiled an exciting new addition to Pomelli. This AI-powered marketing tool now includes a “Photoshoot” feature, empowering users to effortlessly generate a diverse portfolio of images and campaign banners for any product, all starting from just a single reference image.
Imagine uploading a photo of a smartphone and instructing Pomelli’s Photoshoot to create commercial-grade visuals. The tool will intelligently produce various product shots from different angles, complete with compelling promotional text. This game-changing feature is currently being rolled out for free to users in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
