Anticipation is building for the Google Pixel 10a, slated for release on February 18. New leaks from an EU energy label have shed light on the Pixel 9a’s successor, revealing crucial battery and durability specifications. Interestingly, the Pixel 10a is anticipated to feature a battery capacity similar to its predecessor. Beyond the internal specs, official-looking renders of the Pixel 10a have surfaced, showcasing its design across four distinct color options. Early indications suggest the device will boast a 6.3-inch display, Google’s powerful Tensor G4 chipset, and a dual-rear camera setup, headlined by a 48-megapixel main sensor.
Pixel 10a Battery and Durability Details Emerge
An image from the European Union’s European Product Registry for Energy Labelling (EPREL) for the upcoming Google Pixel 10a suggests the phone is equipped with a substantial 5,100mAh battery. This battery is reportedly rated to last an impressive 53 hours and 14 minutes on a single charge. It’s worth noting, however, that the official rating for the phone, identified by model number G4H7L, is not yet publicly available on the EPREL website.
On an energy efficiency scale ranging from A to G, the Pixel 10a appears to have secured an ‘A’ rating, according to the leaked document. This rating also indicates the handset can endure 1,000 charging cycles before its capacity drops to 80 percent of its original state.
The EPREL listing further confirms an IP68 rating, meaning the device is resistant to dust and water. It has also reportedly achieved an ‘A’ grade in rigorous free-fall testing and a ‘B’ rating for repairability.
A Closer Look at the Pixel 10a’s Design
Meanwhile, tech tipster Evan Blass recently shared what appear to be official renders of the Google Pixel 10a. These high-quality images, devoid of watermarks, display the phone in black, red, off-white, and blue. While official names for these shades aren’t included in the post, speculation suggests they will be known as Obsidian, Berry, Fog, and Lavender. Google has already teased the Lavender hue.
These new renders of the Pixel 10a seem to corroborate previous design leaks, but they provide a more comprehensive view from every angle. The phone showcases a flat display featuring a centrally placed hole-punch camera at the top. The display maintains uniform bezels across all sides. On the rear, the device sports a pill-shaped camera module housing dual sensors. The physical buttons are conveniently located along the right edge.
The Google Pixel 10a is officially scheduled for release on February 18. It will be available for purchase through major retailers like Flipkart and the official Google India store. Beyond its design and battery, the handset is expected to be powered by the Google Tensor G4 chipset and feature a 6.3-inch display. For photography, it could offer a 48-megapixel primary camera alongside a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera.
