The much-anticipated “Girls Band Cry” compilation film project is launching its first chapter, subtitled “Seishun Kyoso Kyoko,” with a premiere in Japan on October 3. But the excitement doesn’t stop there! Just as the initial film prepares to hit theaters, a dynamic new trailer and a stunning key visual have been released for the second installment, titled “Naa, Mirai.” This follow-up film is scheduled to enchant audiences starting November 14.

Fans who followed the original series will recall that “Girls Band Cry” first aired in Japan from April to June 2024, spanning 13 episodes. The animated series was skillfully directed by Kazuo Sakai at the acclaimed Toei Animation studio. Jukki Hanada crafted the series composition, Nari Teshima designed the characters, and Kenji Tamai composed the memorable music, all contributing to its unique appeal.

For those new to the world of “Girls Band Cry,” the story centers on Nina Iseri, a high school dropout who moves to Tokyo, feeling out of place in her rural surroundings. After a challenging first day culminates in her being locked out of her apartment, fate intervenes, and she meets her idol, the guitarist Momoka Kawaragi. The two impromptu performers decide to form a band, eventually recruiting three other girls. Despite each member confronting their own personal struggles, their shared passion for music is the driving force that keeps their dreams alive. These compilation films promise to revisit the poignant journey and musical aspirations that define the series.
