After more than six years since its initial reveal and nearly four years since we first saw gameplay, 2XKO, the exciting fighting game set in the League of Legends universe, is finally opening its doors to everyone! Riot Games has announced that the current closed beta will conclude on October 7th, with early access kicking off on the very same day.
This early access phase will introduce “Season 0,” a thrilling first seasonal event packed with unique in-game activities and exclusive progression rewards. Players can also look forward to the arrival of a brand-new champion, expanding the playable roster to a total of ten characters, though their identity remains a mystery for now.

Riot has big plans for 2026, with five more seasons on the horizon, each bringing fresh events, rewards, and another champion to the fight. Rest assured, all your progress from the closed beta will seamlessly transfer into early access, and any advancements made during early access will carry over to future seasons.
To ignite the competitive spirit, Riot Games is also launching the “First Impact” competitive program. This initiative will host 22 community-driven tournaments globally throughout the rest of 2025. Each tournament boasts a prize pool boosted by Riot, and winning duos will receive a special “Duo Bounty” on top of their first-place earnings. The inaugural event is the “2 NICE KO” tournament at Evo France, scheduled for October 10-12.
Mark your calendars: 2XKO will be available in early access for PC starting October 7th.
