What to Expect from the Fallout Day Broadcast
While Bethesda has remained tight-lipped on the full agenda, fans can anticipate significant updates for Fallout 76. Since its 2018 launch, the game has consistently received post-launch content, and most recently, a sneak peek was offered for the upcoming “Burning Springs” update. This substantial free update will introduce one of the largest map expansions to date for Fallout 76, transporting players to the arid, rural Ohio region, complete with new quests and events.
Adding to the excitement, the “Burning Springs” update will introduce The Ghoul, the fan-favorite character portrayed by Walton Goggins in the acclaimed Fallout television series on Amazon Prime Video. The Ghoul will guide players through new bounty hunting missions within the game. Bethesda is currently running a public test server for “Burning Springs,” allowing players to try out the new content before its official launch.

Another strong possibility for the broadcast is a new trailer for the second season of the Fallout TV show, which is scheduled to debut on Prime Video on December 17, 2025.
Beyond current projects, the broadcast might unveil previously unannounced Fallout ventures. While a reveal for a brand-new mainline Fallout game seems improbable, Bethesda could potentially confirm rumors of remakes or remasters of older titles in the series.
This speculation gains traction from Bethesda director Todd Howard, who, in 2024, teased the existence of two undisclosed Fallout projects. Though he refrained from sharing specifics about these potential upcoming games, his comments strongly implied that there are more Fallout endeavors in the pipeline that the public is not yet aware of.
Howard stated in an interview, “We look at what we’re doing with the franchise, and then we say do we still feel good about — I can’t reveal it now — but here is our runway for Fallout as a franchise. When is [Fallout] season 2 happening. What are we doing on mobile. What are we doing in 76. What are we doing with this thing. What are we doing with this other thing. And when are these landing,” clearly indicating multiple unannounced Fallout initiatives.
