Jian Guo, who worked for Maximilian Krah, a member of the European Parliament, has been jailed for four years and nine months for passing confidential documents to Chinese authorities between 2019 and 2024. Guo had denied the charges, claiming he did not work for Chinese intelligence. Krah, who is now a member of the German parliament, testified that he only learned of the allegations against his former aide through media reports.
