Get ready, fans of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater! Konami has just announced that the highly anticipated online multiplayer mode, “Fox Hunt,” will be launching on October 30 as a free update. This exciting addition will be available across PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, arriving approximately two months after the main game’s release.
Fox Hunt promises a thrilling “hide-and-seek” experience for up to 12 players, plunging them into intense jungle stealth action. Expect cat-and-mouse encounters that perfectly blend survival tactics with the iconic sneaking mechanics the Metal Gear series is famous for.
(A video showcasing the Fox Hunt mode was released alongside this announcement, offering an extended look at the gameplay.)
Konami confirmed that players will have two distinct game modes to master in Fox Hunt:
Survival Capture:
This is a nail-biting, multi-phase mission where your team’s success hinges on capturing elusive Kerotan frogs. As the match progresses, the number of frogs dwindles, intensifying the clashes as players scramble to secure each one and outlast their rivals.
Survival Intrude:
A high-stakes mission demanding players to hold their ground within a designated zone through multiple phases. The catch? The number of safe zones shrinks as the game advances, making expert stealth and strategic positioning absolutely crucial for victory.
Every player in Fox Hunt comes equipped with a versatile AT-CAMO suit as standard gear. This advanced suit allows for instant camouflage pattern changes, adapting to any situation—whether you’re evading enemies, executing a surprise attack, or infiltrating deep into enemy territory. Additionally, players can utilize “Naked Sense,” an action that helps detect nearby enemies and locate valuable items, giving you a crucial edge in the wild.
