The much-anticipated arrival of the Power Rangers Megazord in Fortnite, initially scheduled for Tuesday, has been delayed. This includes both the exclusive battle pass skin and a unique in-game event where one player per Battle Royale match transforms into the full-sized Megazord to wreak havoc on the island. Unfortunately, Epic Games has yet to provide an official in-game notification, leaving the Megazord section of the battle pass appearing glitched for now.

Although Epic has not publicly confirmed the delay or new release date, a leaked trailer suggests the Megazord in-game event will now kick off on Thursday, September 18th. As is customary with past seasons, battle pass holders will be able to unlock the Megazord skin and its accompanying cosmetic items by achieving 24 levels across any Fortnite game mode. It’s important to note that despite the Megazord’s battle pass page being visible, players cannot earn these levels prematurely, as the associated quests are not yet active.
The reason for the delay remains unknown, but the upcoming patch is expected to be substantial. It’s rumored to introduce the new ‘Party Crashers’ battle royale mode, which will feature proximity voice chat and a ‘Hunger Games-style’ teaming system with opponents.
Furthermore, this week also marks the beginning of a new Rocket League season. Consequently, the Fortnite update is anticipated to add vehicles like the Pontiac Firebird and Chevy Astro van from Rocket Pass 20, alongside a host of other new vehicle customization options.
