Former U.S. President Joe Biden is currently undergoing radiation therapy for prostate cancer, a diagnosis he received in May, a spokesperson confirmed on Saturday, October 11, 2025.
The spokesperson elaborated that this radiation therapy is part of a comprehensive treatment plan, which also includes hormone treatment, to address the prostate cancer.
Biden, who will celebrate his 83rd birthday next month, previously underwent Mohs surgery in September to remove cancerous cells from his skin.
The former Democratic president first disclosed his metastatic prostate cancer diagnosis in May. His medical team has described the condition as aggressive but notably hormone-sensitive, suggesting a favorable prognosis and a strong likelihood of effective response to the prescribed treatments.
