For years, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade was a PlayStation exclusive, but it’s finally making its way to Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2 in early 2026! If the game’s blend of real-time combat and action-RPG elements has ever felt too daunting, or if you simply want to immerse yourself in the incredible story without the challenge, you’re in luck. A new “Streamlined Progression” mode is being introduced, designed to make your journey through Midgar as smooth as possible.
This innovative mode takes the difficulty down several notches, even beyond the traditional slow-motion, menu-driven combat style. With Streamlined Progression activated, you’ll enjoy unlimited MP and HP, along with perpetually full Limit and ATB gauges during battles. Plus, every single attack you unleash will hit for a staggering 9,999 points of damage, ensuring foes fall quickly.
Beyond battle advantages, this mode also grants a faster weapon ability charge, and with only a few exceptions, you’ll always have a maximum stock of items at your disposal. The best part? You can freely enable or disable Streamlined Progression from the main menu at any point during your playthrough, adapting the experience to your preference.

As a special incentive, Square Enix has unveiled exciting preorder bonuses for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade on these new platforms. Digital preorders will include a downloadable copy of the original Final Fantasy 7 game, an offer available until January 31, 2026. Those who opt for the physical edition will receive a 15-card Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy Play Booster pack.
Looking ahead, Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will also arrive on Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S in the future, although a release date is still under wraps. Regarding the trilogy’s grand finale, producer Tetsuya Nomura recently hinted that the reveal date for the final chapter has already been decided.
While we patiently await these highly anticipated releases, there are plenty of other captivating JRPGs to dive into. Keep an eye out for upcoming titles such as Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, and Octopath Traveler 0.
