The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is closing its registration window for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2026 today, October 7, 2025. This is the absolute final opportunity for all interested parents, guardians, and students to submit their applications for admission into Classes 9 and 11. The application process must be completed through the official NVS website.

JNVST Class 9 & 11 Admissions 2026: Essential Eligibility Criteria

Before proceeding with your application, it’s vital to review the eligibility requirements for both classes:

For Class 9 Applicants:

Students must reside in the same district where they intend to apply for admission and currently be enrolled in a school within that district. Eligible candidates should have been born between May 1, 2011, and July 31, 2013 (inclusive of both dates). For Class 11 Applicants:

Candidates must be actively studying in Class 10 during the academic session 2025–26 (April 2025 to March 2026) or the calendar year 2025 (January to December 2025). Their current school must be a Government or Government-recognized institution (affiliated with CBSE, a State Board, or any other recognized board) and located within the same district as the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya they are seeking admission to. Applicants for Class 11 should have been born between June 1, 2009, and July 31, 2011 (inclusive of both dates).
