It has just launched its very own DLC, “Rabbit and Pork,” and a Kickstarter for an exclusive collector’s edition is also officially live!
For many RPG enthusiasts, myself included, Fallout 4 didn’t quite hit the mark. It felt like a departure from the narrative depth of New Vegas or the rich atmosphere of Fallout 3, leaning more into a ‘power fantasy’ rather than a true role-playing experience. It’s a delightful irony then that Fallout London, a spin-off born from this very game, captures the essence and spirit of the classic Fallout titles I adored much more effectively.
The new DLC, aptly titled “Rabbit and Pork,” isn’t just an add-on; it’s a significant overhaul of the existing Fallout London mod. It tackles previous issues, refines existing areas, and introduces a wealth of fresh content. Players can look forward to interacting with 80 new fully-voiced non-player characters, enjoying over 8,000 fresh dialogue lines, embarking on 30 new quests, discovering 30 new weapons and armor pieces, and even recruiting a new animal companion.
Beyond the exciting new content, “Rabbit and Pork” also delivers essential bug fixes and stability improvements, alongside a custom launcher designed to simplify the often-tricky installation process. This makes for a truly substantial update, but the developers at FOLON aren’t stopping there.
To celebrate these milestones, a Kickstarter campaign has been launched for a special Fallout London-themed collector’s edition. While the team navigates careful marketing to respect intellectual property, this edition promises a range of in-universe and commemorative physical collectibles inspired by the mod. Amid all the Fallout London news, FOLON also announced that, after the release of its final Fallout London DLC, ‘WildCard,’ it will step away from the Fallout modding scene completely. The team has evolved into a full-fledged indie studio, now developing their own intellectual property using Unreal Engine. While ambitious plans include a “Fallout London 2.0”-esque open-world game in the future, they are starting with a smaller, original title, allowing them complete creative freedom.
