While the Xiaomi 17 series has already made its debut with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, tech enthusiasts are keenly awaiting the arrival of the Realme GT 8 Pro, iQOO 15, and OnePlus 15. A prominent Chinese tipster has now provided an early glimpse into the camera specifications for these highly anticipated smartphones.

According to information shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, three of the forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-equipped smartphones are expected to feature 50-megapixel primary rear cameras, each with a 1/1.5-inch sensor. The fourth device in this lineup is rumored to house a 50-megapixel camera, boasting an even larger 1/1.3-inch sensor.
Further details suggest that two of these Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered smartphones will incorporate 50-megapixel telephoto cameras, featuring 1/2.76-inch sensors. Another flagship is tipped to arrive with a 50-megapixel 1/1.95-inch sensor, while a particularly exciting leak points to one model sporting a powerful 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor.
The tipster also indicated that all these new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 smartphones will be equipped with periscope telephoto cameras. Interestingly, only one of these devices is expected to offer support for telephoto macro photography. Although specific model names were not explicitly stated by the tipster, it is widely believed that these devices refer to the Realme GT 8 Pro, iQOO 15, OnePlus 15, and Redmi K90 Pro.
The Realme GT 8 Pro, iQOO 15, and OnePlus 15 are slated for an official unveiling in China soon, featuring the freshly launched Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. However, Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, has yet to officially confirm the launch of the Redmi K90 Pro.
In prior announcements, Realme previously revealed that its GT 8 Pro would come with a versatile triple camera setup, notably including a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. This device is also set to integrate an R1 graphics chip and a dual symmetrical speaker system. Its display promises a premium experience with a BOE-manufactured 2K resolution panel and a rapid 144Hz refresh rate.
The iQOO 15 has been confirmed to feature a stunning 6.85-inch 2K 8T LTPO Samsung “Everest” screen, also boasting a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Powering its gaming prowess will be iQOO’s dedicated Q3 gaming chip. Durability is also a focus, with an IP68 + IP69 rated build, coupled with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and wireless charging capabilities. Impressively, its battery capacity is expected to exceed 7,000mAh.
As for the OnePlus 15, teasers hint at a distinctive Sand Dune colorway, running on Android 16 with the ColorOS 16 skin. The device is confirmed to feature a vibrant OLED display with an ultra-responsive 165Hz refresh rate.
