Robert “Bob” Hartheimer, the chief executive officer of Evolve Bank, has been fired following his arrest for attempting to solicit a 15-year-old boy for sex. The incident came to light when an undercover FBI agent, posing as a minor on the dating app Grindr on October 19, was contacted by a user identified as “Tomm.” This user, later identified as Hartheimer, engaged in suggestive conversations and exchanged explicit photos, even asking if the agent was willing to trade nudes. The investigation, which involved tracing the Grindr account to Hartheimer, led to his arrest in Memphis, Tennessee, on October 23. He faces charges including attempted production of child pornography and transferring obscene material to a minor. Evolve Bank confirmed Hartheimer’s termination, stating their full cooperation with the ongoing investigation and assuring that the matter is personal and does not affect the bank’s operations.
