Others reside in different realms within the Dream Castle, waiting to be unlocked. All Current Dreamlight Valley Characters and How to Find Them
Your adventure in Dreamlight Valley begins with a warm welcome from Merlin, the wise wizard from The Sword in the Stone. He’ll be your first guide, teaching you the ropes of this magical world and helping you harness your powers. As you restore the valley, you’ll frequently consult with him and meet many more iconic faces, including your friendly neighbor, Mickey Mouse.
Here’s a complete list of everyone you’ll encounter as you bring Dreamlight Valley back to its former glory:
- Merlin: Your inaugural guide, he greets you at the very start of Disney Dreamlight Valley.
- Scrooge McDuck: You’ll find him patiently waiting for your assistance outside his rather dilapidated shop in the Plaza. He’ll even show you how to upgrade your Dreamlight Valley house!
- Mickey Mouse: Your ever-optimistic Plaza neighbor, Mickey is one of the few characters who never truly left the valley during the Forgetting.
- Goofy: Discover Goofy locked away in the Peaceful Meadow; he’s always quick with a friendly introduction once you unlock the biome.
- Ursula: This notorious sea witch is trapped in a mysterious cave that Merlin helps you uncover as soon as you gain access to Dazzle Beach.
- Kristoff: Unlock the whimsical Forest of Valor, and Kristoff will be there, eager for rescue.
- Donald Duck: Requires your help to be freed from a perplexing dark portal located deep within the Forest of Valor.
- Mother Gothel: Journey into the Glade of Trust to find Mother Gothel confined within a large, cursed tree, awaiting her release.
- Minnie Mouse: Though sometimes seen as a shimmering aura, you’ll need to complete specific quests with Mickey to fully interact with Minnie and bring her vibrant presence back home.
- Ariel: Stranded on a mysterious island, Ariel needs your assistance. Complete Goofy’s ‘The Mysterious Wreck’ quest, to sail to her rescue.
- Eric: Prince Eric makes his grand return to the valley once you’ve built strong friendships with both Ariel and Ursula, and completed their respective quests.
- Scar: The infamous lion makes his home in the Elephant Graveyard within the Sunlit Plateau.
- Stitch: A mischievous space experiment! Find a peculiar dirty sock on the beach to kick off a series of quests that eventually lead to the adorable Stitch’s arrival.
- Mirabel Madrigal: Returns to the valley once her beloved Mini-Casita deems it safe, and you’ve proven yourself worthy. You’ll know it’s time when you stumble upon Mirabel’s distinctive golden doorknob in the Meadow.
- Olaf: Just like Kristoff, Olaf can be found locked away in a secret part of the valley. Continue your journey to bring Anna and Elsa back, and Olaf will soon join the delightful Frozen family.
- Fairy Godmother: Introduced as part of ‘The Remembering’ update, Fairy Godmother plays a crucial role in unraveling the mysteries of the Forgetting. Find her in the charming pumpkin house nestled in the Forgotten Lands biome.
- Vanellope Von Schweetz: This sweet racer arrives in the valley to introduce the exciting DreamSnaps feature. Vanellope can be found within the Dream Castle as part of Scrooge’s ‘The Haunting of the Dream Castle’ quest.
- Jack Skellington: The Pumpkin King returns to the valley after you collect his scattered matryoshka dolls and complete the spooky Something Comes A Knocking quest.
- Daisy Duck: Donald’s beloved arrives to bring a touch of style and calm to the valley with the Thrills and Frills update, opening Daisy’s Boutique in the Plaza.
- Tiana: Princess Tiana made her grand entrance into the valley after a special cookbook was discovered in the Glade of Trust.

Early in your adventure, Merlin grants you access to the Dream Castle, which houses various character realms.
