Global music sensation Enrique Iglesias made a triumphant return to India after a 13-year hiatus, electrifying a crowd of over 25,000 fans in Mumbai on Thursday night. The concert, held at the MMRDA Grounds, was a spectacle of music and energy, with attendees singing along to his chart-topping hits.
A Memorable Fan Interaction
Amidst his dynamic performance, Iglesias engaged with his fans, walking closer to the stage’s ramp. In a spontaneous moment, a fan threw their phone onto the stage. The 50-year-old artist, holding a microphone, deftly caught the phone. With a smile and a peace sign, he took a quick selfie before playfully returning the device to the audience. This act sparked a wave of excitement, with more fans attempting similar gestures, though none were successful.
Enrique and his team were also seen returning phones to fans who had dropped them near the stage.
Concert Highlights
The concert featured an impressive lineup, starting with an electrifying set by EDM duo Progressive Brothers, followed by a performance from Indo-Canadian pop star Jonita Gandhi. Iglesias himself delivered a captivating 90-minute set.
The sold-out event marked Enrique’s third visit to India. He was scheduled to perform again the following night, with expectations of an even larger turnout. The concert was attended by several Bollywood celebrities, including Malaika Arora, Vidya Balan, Rakul Preet Singh, Jaccky Bhanani, Rubina Dilaik, Anu Malik, and Abhinav Shukla.
