Great news for survivors in Villedor! Techland has released a vital hotfix for their standalone zombie adventure, Dying Light: The Beast. This latest update ensures that all players who pre-ordered the game will now receive their Kyle Crane Legacy Skin. If you’ve updated to version 1.2.2, simply check your in-game stash, and the skin should appear shortly if not immediately.
This patch is part of a series of rapid updates deployed since the game’s launch on September 18. Notably, Hotfix 1.2.1 previously addressed the perplexing issue of ‘indoor rain’ and a ‘disturbed day/night cycle.’ That earlier update also made the APEX Car Skin available in the in-game stash for those who pre-ordered the game or own it through the Dying Light 2 Ultimate Edition.
Techland had acknowledged these atmospheric glitches shortly after release, assuring players that resolving the ‘Indoor Rain and Disturbed Day/Night Cycle’ was a top priority. They noted that because the bug only appeared in ‘rare situations,’ it required extensive additional testing to implement a proper fix.
While players expressed relief that the hotfix had been sent out, some community members are still eager for more information regarding other technical concerns like ray tracing, stuttering, frame drops, and memory leaks.
In Dying Light: The Beast, you step into the role of Kyle Crane, a legendary hero who breaks free after years of brutal experiments. The game currently enjoys a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam, and in our recent review, it earned a solid 7/10. We described it as “a goofy, bloody sequel with a monstrous twist, but doesn’t do much else to mix things up.”
