The Minecraft Copper Cape Quest has been a fantastic event, offering exciting rewards and even inspiring some real-life tidying up (though my personal space still needs work!). While I might not have a stylish cape for my organizational efforts, you’re in luck! As this special event concludes, the Minecraft team has unveiled three distinct ways to earn your very own Copper Cape in the game.
This quest, introduced with the fantastic Copper Age update a few weeks ago, has challenged us to build Copper Golems by placing pumpkins on copper blocks. These friendly helpers then assist us in tidying our in-game inventories, turning chaotic item piles into organized spaces – much like a virtual Marie Kondo session! Personally, my inventory was a disaster before this event, so it arrived at the perfect moment for one of the top survival games out there.
Players have been busy, constructing over 75 million golems and organizing more than 500 million items! Now, as the event nears its conclusion, Mojang is providing three straightforward methods for you to acquire your Copper Cape: one in-game, one online, and one at a physical event. All are quick and easy to complete.
Firstly, the cape will unlock when you place a copper statue in-game. You can obtain a copper statue by allowing a Copper Golem to fully oxidize, then simply picking it up and placing it down again. Alternatively, for those in Creative Mode, you can easily spawn one in. Act fast! This specific method for earning the Copper Cape is only available until 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EDT / 6 PM BST on October 20, 2025.
If you find yourself unable to play, you can still earn the cape by watching Minecraft content online. Simply watch five minutes of Minecraft content on eligible Twitch Affiliate or Partner channels, or three minutes on any Game Reward-enabled TikTok stream. This online viewing option is available until November 19, 2025.
Lastly, for those attending TwitchCon San Diego between October 17 and October 19, 2025, you can pick up a physical code for the cape directly from the Minecraft booth. Remember to redeem this code before November 19, 2025.
Once you’ve proudly acquired your Copper Cape – and perhaps dodged Edna Mode’s disapproval (no capes!) – flaunt your new style in your favorite Minecraft worlds. You might also explore various Minecraft modifications to enhance your copper attire even further.
