Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma’s marriage has once again become a topic of public discussion. Verma has made startling claims that she discovered her husband’s infidelity only two months into their wedding.
During an appearance on the reality show ‘Rise and Fall,’ Verma shared details about her marital struggles with actress Kubbra Sait. In a clip that has gone viral, Sait inquired when Verma realized her marriage wouldn’t work. Verma responded candidly, stating, “First year. Caught him in the second month.” Sait’s shocked reaction, exclaiming “Crazy bro,” mirrored the sentiment of many viewers.
Verma also addressed rumors about alimony, clarifying that the divorce was mutual and amicable. She emphasized that her parents taught her to only justify herself to those she cares about, not to those who don’t know her.
Verma and Chahal tied the knot in December 2020, meeting during the COVID-19 pandemic when Chahal sought dance lessons from Verma. They officially separated in June 2022 and were granted a divorce by mutual consent in March of this year. Verma had previously spoken about the emotional toll of the divorce proceedings on a podcast, recounting how she broke down during the final hearing.
Following their separation, Chahal was reportedly seen with RJ Mahvash, fueling dating rumors, although Mahvash maintains they are just friends.
