Dear Media has secured a significant three-year agreement with Claudia and Jackie Oshry for their hit podcast, ‘The Toast.’ This deal comes after a competitive bidding process that involved major players like SiriusXM and iHeart.
Considered the Oshrys’ most substantial contract to date, the agreement was brokered by WME and grants Dear Media exclusive rights for advertising, promotion, and production. ‘The Toast’ airs five days a week and has achieved over 100 million listens on Spotify, with a strong presence on YouTube through its video content and further expansion planned for Spotify’s video platform.
Michael Bosstick, founder and CEO of Dear Media, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Claudia and Jackie have transformed ‘The Toast’ into a pop culture powerhouse with a devoted and engaged fanbase of listeners and viewers.” He added, “At Dear Media, we are dedicated to empowering visionary creators whose influence extends beyond audio. This renewal underscores our commitment as we continue our partnership, supporting ‘The Toast’s’ growth across entertainment, live events, and beyond.”
The Oshry sisters launched ‘The Toast’ in 2018, transforming it into a leading digital brand. Their ventures now include the Toast News Network (TNN), featuring shows like ‘Good Guys’ with Josh Peck and Ben Soffer, ‘Probably a Podcast’ with Shannon Ford, and ‘The Readheads Book Club,’ co-hosted by Jackie Oshry, Margo Oshry, Dana Webman, and Rebecca Rittenberg.
In their own statement, the sisters shared their excitement about the new deal, saying it offers them “the opportunity to propel ‘The Toast’ to heights we never imagined.”
Beyond their podcasting success, their ventures extend to Spritz Society, a canned cocktail brand that has been featured on Bravo’s ‘Southern Charm.’ Bosstick himself invested in Spritz Society in 2022.
The sisters have also successfully expanded into live events, with sold-out shows like ‘Girly Swirlies Night Out!’, demonstrating their strong connection with their young female audience.
Attorney Jessica Marlow from Weintraub Tobin represented the Oshrys in finalizing this significant agreement.
