The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the registration deadline for the CSIR UGC NET December 2025 is fast approaching, closing on Friday, October 24, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates who wish to appear for the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) should submit their applications promptly via the official website at csirnet.nta.nic.in.
The application fee varies by category: General candidates are required to pay ₹1150, while General-EWS/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates need to pay ₹600. For SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/Third Gender candidates, the fee is ₹300.
Payment for the application fee can be made through net-banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.

After the registration closes, candidates will have until October 25, 2025, 11:50 PM, to complete their online fee payment. Furthermore, the window for application corrections will be open from October 27 to October 29, 2025, also until 11:50 PM.
The CSIR UGC NET examination is scheduled to take place on December 18, 2025. The exam will be conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) format across two shifts: the first from 9 AM to 12 noon, and the second from 3 PM to 6 PM.
The examination will be offered in both Hindi and English, and candidates must use the language they selected in their application form. In cases of discrepancy between the Hindi and English versions due to translation, the English version will be considered final, as per NTA guidelines.
