Copenhagen Airport has suspended all flight operations, including take-offs and landings, due to sightings of several large drones. The airport was first affected around 20:30 local time (19:30 BST).
Authorities reported that between two and three significant drones were observed in the vicinity of the airport. At present, there is no clear indication of when flight operations will resume.
The police issued a statement confirming the airport’s closure, stating, “[The airport] is currently closed for take-off and landing, as 2-3 large drones have been seen flying in the area. The time horizon is currently unknown.” Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
