Hyderabad recently witnessed a truly special occasion where the worlds of medicine and global pageantry beautifully intertwined. AIG Hospitals proudly welcomed the esteemed Miss World delegation, spearheaded by the organization’s visionary chairperson, Julia Morley, on Sunday.
During their visit, the delegation explored the hospital’s cutting-edge Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Innovation, alongside other vital departments. This insightful tour was followed by a vibrant and candid discussion featuring AIG Hospitals chairman Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, the reigning Miss World 2025, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, and renowned philanthropist Sudha Reddy.
The distinguished group included Miss World 2025 representatives from across the globe – the Caribbean, Namibia, Oceania, the Americas, Europe, and Asia. They were joined by India’s own Miss India World, Nandini Gupta, and Femina Miss India 2024, Nikita Porwal, adding a touch of national pride to the international gathering.
This heartwarming interaction magnificently showcased the common threads connecting the rigorous world of healthcare with the global platform of pageantry: profound compassion, unwavering resilience, and a deep-seated commitment to service. Dr. Nageshwar Reddy eloquently shared his perspective, stating, “For many, including myself, pageants were often seen only as glamour. But what I learnt today is that they are deeply rooted in compassion and purpose.”
Ms. Morley, who has dedicated decades to leading the Miss World Organisation, reinforced this sentiment, emphasizing that “compassion is the invisible crown” that truly defines the Miss World platform. She highlighted various global initiatives championing healthcare and education for underprivileged children worldwide.
Miss World 2025, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, gracefully reflected on her journey since her crowning earlier this year. She passionately articulated her role as a bridge-builder between diverse communities, stating, “From breast cancer patients to children, I see my work as connecting people through love, knowledge and hope.”
Adding another layer of inspiration, Ms. Sudha Reddy recounted her personal decision to pivot from medical school to dedicate her life to charitable endeavors. Her powerful message resonated deeply: “Our life is meaningless if we are not useful to at least one single person.”
