CMF has officially announced its transition into an independent subsidiary of Nothing, the innovative London-based smartphone manufacturer. This strategic move, confirmed via a press release on Thursday, marks a significant step for the brand as it establishes a standalone identity.
Following earlier reports of increased hiring in India, the former sub-brand, led by Carl Pei, has now solidified its commitment to the country by relocating its entire smartphone manufacturing operations to India. Furthermore, CMF will now be headquartered in India, reinforcing its local presence and operational capabilities. This expansion also includes a pivotal strategic partnership with Optiemus Infracom, an electronics manufacturer, to facilitate the local production of CMF devices.
