The weight of the Shibuya Incident hangs heavy on Yuji Itadori, the first-year Jujutsu High student burdened with being the vessel of the King of Curses. Guilt gnaws at him, but the time for reflection is over. The Culling Game has begun, forcing sorcerers into a brutal battle for survival, not just for themselves, but for the innocent lives caught in its deadly web. As Yuji forges new alliances and reunites with familiar faces, their shared goal is clear: stop Kenjaku and avert the complete annihilation of the world. Let’s delve into every thrilling moment that unfolded in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, Episode 7!
Our journey begins with a chilling scene: a teenage girl, Sasaki, finds herself enveloped in darkness, trapped within a barrier. A voice, unmistakably Kenjaku’s, informs her that this area has been designated for a contest to the death. With surprising composure, she politely requests he find another neighborhood. Kenjaku, amused, explains the necessity of the location due to a nearby execution site but offers her a chance to leave before the Culling Game officially commences. As they depart the barrier, he chillingly thanks her for being a friend to his son. Sasaki awakens to find her old friend Iguchi beside her, a flash of Yuji Itadori – her former Occult Phenomenon Research Club classmate – crossing her mind. Could Yuji be the ‘son’ Kenjaku referred to?
Meanwhile, Yuji, Megumi, and Panda are bringing Hakari and Kirara up to speed on the devastating events that have transpired. The news that Gojo has been sealed leaves Hakari in utter disbelief. Panda, regretful of the abrupt delivery, drops another bombshell: Principal Yaga is also dead. Seeing the pain on Yuji’s face, Panda quickly reassures him, a sentiment Hakari grudgingly echoes. Despite his initial reluctance, Hakari agrees to join their desperate mission to halt the Culling Game – but not without a hefty price.
As the sorcerers prepare to strategize their next move, a Kogane appears, announcing a new rule: the addition of Hajime Kashimo to the game. (It’s revealed that Yuji, as Sukuna’s vessel, was already an unwilling participant due to an ancient pact between the King of Curses and Kenjaku.) Seizing this opportunity, the group devises a plan. They will seek out players with an exceptionally high number of points – specifically Hajime Kashimo and Hiromi Higuruma. Their aim is to convince one of them to create a new rule allowing point transfers, then collectively amass enough points to establish a rule that grants players an escape from the Culling Game entirely. Hakari and Panda volunteer to head to Tokyo Colony No. 2 to find Kashimo and Angel, respectively, while Fushiguro and Yuji set off for Tokyo Colony No. 1 in pursuit of Higuruma. Kirara will remain on standby. With only seven days left before Tsumiki Fushiguro is forced into the Culling Game, Megumi, Panda, and Hakari officially become players.
As they approach Tokyo Colony No. 1, Megumi issues a stark warning to Yuji: never underestimate reincarnated sorcerers. These ancient fighters, he explains, are far more ruthless and battle-hardened than their modern counterparts. Stepping into the barrier, their worst fears are immediately realized as they are violently separated. Yuji tumbles through the sky, quickly intercepting a surprise attack from a sorcerer with jet-engine hair, effortlessly knocking her unconscious. Her partner, a sorcerer with helicopter rotors on his head, attempts to follow up, but Yuji is already on the offensive. Elsewhere in the same Colony, Megumi expertly neutralizes another surprise attacker, demanding she lead him to Higuruma. Yuji, meanwhile, slams the rotor-headed sorcerer to the ground, then corners him indoors to limit his movement. A powerful punch shatters the rotor, followed by a devastating kick to the Player’s most vulnerable area.
The hunt for Higuruma takes a complicated turn. Megumi’s captive, a young woman named Remi, offers to guide him to Higuruma if he agrees to be her ‘knight.’ He cautiously accepts, vowing to protect her as long as she proves truthful. Yuji’s opponent remains unconscious, but a teenager approaches from behind, calling Yuji by name. Though Yuji doesn’t recognize him, the young man, Rin Amai, claims they attended middle school together and knows Higuruma’s whereabouts. Yuji, ever trusting, begins to follow him. Megumi, however, is not as naive as Yuji; he’s prepared to kill in the Culling Game, and Remi had better be honest. She explains she was forced into the Game immediately upon its commencement and has been fighting for twelve grueling days. Both Yuji and Megumi pause to ask their respective guides for Higuruma’s location. Remi points towards Shinjuku, while Amai insists it’s Ikebukuro. Which sorcerer is walking into a trap? The answer awaits in the next thrilling installment of Jujutsu Kaisen!
